One day, while they were sitting on the porch, David's neighbour turned to him and said, "David, I have something to tell you."

David looked at him, curious. "What is it?"

His neighbour took a deep breath. "I have a terminal illness. The doctors say I don't have much time left."

David's heart sank. He couldn't imagine a life without his neighbour. "What can we do?" he asked, tears welling up in his eyes.

His neighbour took his hand and said, "We can make the most of the time we have left. We can love each other, travel the world, and create memories that will last a lifetime."

David nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. From that moment on, they lived every day as if it were their last. They traveled to different countries, went on adventures, and experienced life to the fullest.

As the days turned into weeks and months, David's neighbour's condition worsened. He was in and out of the hospital, and David was by his side every step of the way.

One day, while David was holding his neighbour's hand, he passed away peacefully.

David was heartbroken, but he knew that his neighbour had left him with a lifetime of memories to cherish. He knew that their love was special, and he would always carry it with him.

As he looked up at the sky, he saw a thunderstorm brewing in the distance. He smiled, knowing that his neighbour's love was still with him, even in death.
