David couldn't hide the fear in his eyes as he stumbled up to his neighbour's door in the midst of the thunderstorm. His phone had died, and he was out of options. In an act of desperation, he hoped his kind-hearted neighbour would open the door and help him in his time of need.
Knock. Knock.
His neighbour's face greeted him, and David could tell by the look on his face that he had noticed David's trembling from the thunder.
David: h-hey hi
His neighbour: Hello
David: umm s-sorry to disturb you i-i um..m w-want a candle if you have any my phone died actually it's all dark and dark is not good i-its scary I mean i-i I'm not scared or anything b-but aa.a i was wondering if you have anyyyyyy (lightining strike)

His neighbour: hey hey hey shh shh it's ok you are alone I'm here you'll be fine
His gentle pushed open the door and said, 'Come in, it's okay. Let's get you out of this storm.'
David walked into the house, and his neighbour handed him a candle and lit it. Its small light was the only light in the room, and David felt calmer and more protected in the familiar house of his neighbour.
David was about to say that he was okay, but the thunder was so loud that it shook the house and knocked the candle out of his hand. Fear filled his eyes, and his body started to shake uncontrollably.
Without a thought, his neighbour reached and pulled him into a hug.
David hugged him back and started crying
His neighbour soothed him with comforting words and gentle strokes on the back of his head.
His neighbour: hey hey buddy it's okay I'm here I got you it's Just Strom i won't let anything happen to you your safe here
David let out a deep sigh of relief and clung to his neighbour for support as he fought back the tears that threatened to fall.
In that moment, David knew how special it was to feel the warmth and protection in the arms of his kind neighbour. He realized that it wasn't just a hug of comfort, but of understanding and acceptance. David finally felt at home when he realized that his neighbour promised him that regardless of what happened, he was there.
